Are Bormioli Rocco blue swirl glasses lead free?
Hi Christine – I have not tested any colored glassware from that brand.

I am looking for cookie sheets. I thought I saw some in the past but I am not finding them now.
Thank you!!
K! I will let you know when I have the bake-ware page updated. Here’s the link:

Post updated!
Are the all clad items mostly 18/10 stainless steel?
I think they have different components (of the same piece) made of different grades of metal. For example most knives (in general, as a general example of a multi-component item) have one type of stainless for the food contact surface (the blade) and another type of stainless for the handle.

Are all unmarked stainless steel utensils typically lead free? It’s my understand that any paints usually contain lead. We bought a cheap stainless utensil set from tjmaxx and it’s made in China. Please give us your insight!
It’s hard for me to evaluate it without seeing it, but as long as it does not have components made of materials other than stainless it should be Lead-free.

Hi Tamara !
New website is so convenient ! I’m here every day looking forward to reading your new posts! That’s just awesome we can find healthy options of products we need!
I bought a grater Nonpro you mentioned above BUT it has a painted logo Nonpro on the product. The paint is silver(grey?) and it makes me nervous. Have you checked the logo as well?
Hi Tamara – I thought I saw a BBQ tool set on your website a few weeks ago but I can no longer find it. Any recommendations for a BBQ tool set?
Hi Tamara. Do you have any options for stainless steel tongs? A couple of size choices would be great, but preferably smaller serving sizes for dinner parties. Also, curious if you know of any safe S.S. cookie cutters. Would love to be able to make cookies with my little one. Thank you so much!
I’m looking for a mortal and pestal to grind flax seeds and spices. I found one made from marble. What is lead safe ?
Oh – good question. I will look for some examples to add to this.
It’s mortar & pestle.
How would I know if the stainless steel I have is lead free? Like the cheese grater I already own for eg? Before I just throw everything out and buy what you recommend lol
Follow the guidelines here: https://tamararubin.com/2021/01/i-want-to-buy-some-nontoxic-cookware-which-pots-pans-are-the-safest-for-cooking-which-pots-pans-are-the-least-toxic/
I seen you add stainless steel utensils for baby’s.
Do you know brands with adult stainless steel utensils besides wooden utensils ?
Are there any spices that are safe ? Thank you.
We recommend avoiding all dried, processed, packaged spices.

Hi, thanks so much for all the info here!!! The Hudson measuring spoons you recommend look great. So do their measuring cups. However, their cups are not shown here. From your note at the top of the page it looks like you’d recommend them too, because they are the Hudson brand. Is that right? Many thanks!
Can you share a link to the product with me? Thank you.
